Leasing

Individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the common areas and their bedroom. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the spring semester, you’re not responsible for their payments.

Installments may be paid according to one of the following options:

  • One installment: Due in full on August 1st
  • Two installments: Due on August 1st and January 1st
  • Twelve installments: The first installment is due on August 1st, and the remaining eleven are due on the first day of each following month

Please note that these payments are based on the total lease amount and are not considered monthly rent.

Monthly installments may be paid online through the resident portal or by check or money order.

Leases at Grant Street Station are binding and cannot be broken. If you’re unable to live here after signing your lease — including if you’re not returning for the spring semester — you’ll need to find someone to take over your lease through a process called re-letting. Please contact the leasing office for details and assistance with re-letting your space.

Renters’ insurance is required for residents at Grant Street Station. Residents may opt in to the community’s renters’ insurance plan for $15 per month; however, this coverage does not cover personal belongings in the event of fire, theft, or natural disasters.

For additional protection, residents may obtain their own renters’ insurance policy, provided it meets the community’s coverage requirements. To learn more about these requirements, please contact our leasing office.
